Clams casino with bacon and bell pepper

Bake on top rack of oven about 10 min, or until cheese melts. As soon as the clams pop open, after 8 minutes, transfer them carefully with tongs to a platter. Stuff shells with enough bacon-pepper mixture to fully cover clam meat sprinkle with cheese. Set up the littleneck clams directly on the grill. Remove from the heat, stir in the olive oil, parsley, and bacon season with just a little salt and pepper. Place a medium saute pan over medium-high heat, add olive oil the garlic, and red pepper flakes and cook until the garlic is brown (not burnt).
